What "sustainable" means to us

By “sustainable value”, we mean value that lasts: for our customers, our employees and our investors. For our machines, this means they are designed for long-term industrial use and can be maintained, upgraded and refurbished.

EcoVadis Bronze Medal:
Rating for Sustainable Business Management

For the third year running, we are proud to have been awarded the EcoVadis Bronze Medal for our commitment to sustainability.
In October 2025, we completed the assessment again and were able to increase our overall score by 6 points compared to the previous year to 69 out of 100 points. This places ProXES in the top 19% of rated companies worldwide.

This recognition validates our ongoing efforts to promote responsible business practices. It is a clear sign of our drive for continuous improvement and our commitment to sustainability.

For us, ESG by Design means integrating environmental, social and governance aspects into the design and development process of our products right from the start. Sustainability is not an afterthought, but an integral part of everything we do.

Corporate Carbon Footprint

At ProXES, we recognize that protecting our environment is one of the greatest challenges of our time. As a company committed to sustainability, we take responsibility for a climate-friendly future by carefully measuring our corporate carbon footprint (CCF). This allows us to understand and minimize the direct and indirect impact of our business activities on the climate.

Our CCF reflects the total greenhouse gas emissions generated by our company and is categorized into three scopes according to the GHG Protocol. This structured approach ensures transparency and helps us implement targeted reduction measures. We provide detailed insights into our emissions in our ESG report, reinforcing our commitment to accountability and continuous improvement.

DIRECT EMISSIONS

Emissions from sources that are directly controlled by us, such as the consumption of fossil fuels in company-owned facilities and vehicles.

INDIRECT ENERGY EMISSIONS

Emissions resulting from the use of purchased energy such as electricity, steam or heat.

OTHER INDIRECT EMISSIONS

Emissions generated along the entire value chain, including purchased goods, transportation and the use phase of our products - as the largest emissions category.

Our contribution to sustainability

PRODUCT CARBON FOOTPRINT FOR STEPHAN VACUTHERM

We have calculated the cradle-to-grave carbon footprint of the Stephan Vacutherm and thus gained transparency about where the most emissions occur in the life cycle. This data enables us to identify specific optimization potential and derive measures to reduce the ecological footprint.

Annual Corporate Carbon Footprint Calculation

Since 2023, we have calculated our full corporate carbon footprint (CCF) on a yearly basis - including all three scopes and all locations. In this way, we create a transparent basis for sustainable improvements and a climate-conscious future.

Initiative for Equality & Inclusion

In 2024, we adopted an Equality & Inclusion Policy that underlines our commitment to a corporate culture in which the potential of every individual is recognized and promoted. We want to create a working environment in which everyone is respected, safe and valued - regardless of gender, age, origin, religion, sexual orientation or disability.

FURTHER DEVELOPMENT OF THE PROXES SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY

We are continuously developing our sustainability strategy and have carried out a double materiality analysis for this purpose. This analysis helps us to identify the most important environmental, social and economic impacts, risks and opportunities and integrate them into our strategy in a targeted manner.

We make our actions visible

We see sustainability as a commitment to continuous improvement and as a precondition for our long-term success. We want to make this visible to the public and provide transparent information about our goals, measures, and both our positive and negative developments. Our investor Capvis has been supporting the initiative to systematize sustainability management since 2022 and our further goal to link it to our corporate strategy.
