I’m Aksi, 20 years old, and currently training to become an Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering at ProXES. After completing 12th grade, I decided not to pursue a high school diploma further. I wanted to dive straight into hands-on work. I’ve always been fascinated by technology and electronics, and when some neighbors recommended ProXES, it instantly felt like the right choice. Outside of work, I enjoy staying active through sports-it helps clear my mind.
Why did I choose ProXES?
I’ve always had a strong interest in technical subjects like physics and math. ProXES was a great fit-close to home and full of exciting technical challenges. The blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application really convinced me.
What’s my typical workday like?
My day starts at 7 a.m. and usually ends around 3:30 p.m. I primarily wire small machines, ensuring everything is connected correctly to function smoothly. Alongside that, I attend block courses at the Reintjes Academy, where theory is taught in tandem with practical tasks. It’s a great way to turn what I learn in the classroom into real-world skills.
What should new team members bring to the table?
In this job, being diligent and patient really pays off. Curiosity and ambition are key to tackling new tasks and growing. A solid foundation in math is helpful, and being able to work independently is essential, since you'll often manage your own projects.
