We actively focus on ESG by Design

Many of our customers are active in industries that – driven by global megatrends such as new nutritional needs, energy crisis, digitalization, or raw material scarcity - are undergoing a comprehensive transformation. In terms of sustainability, this transformation is an opportunity to which we want to contribute with ESG by Design of our products and our long-standing application know-how. Together with our customers, we are working within the framework of co-creation and sustainable innovation to optimize our products and the customer's processes in terms of resource and energy efficiency. Because sustainable innovation is part of our corporate culture.

What is ESG by Design?

"ESG by Design" describes our concept of incorporating ESG aspects into the design and development process of products. It is characterized in particular by the consideration of the impact of our products on the environment (e.g. carbon footprint, energy efficiency). It also takes into account social factors such as fair working conditions and diversity, as well as compliance with legal and ethical requirements throughout the supply chain. By applying ESG by Design principles, we aim to create products that not only meet the functional requirements of our customers, but are also environmentally sustainable and socially responsible. As a company, we want to develop products that have a positive impact on our customers, the planet and society as a whole.

We make our actions transparent

We see sustainability as a commitment to continuous improvement and as a prerequisite for our long-term success. We want to make this visible to the outside world and provide transparent information about our goals, measures, positive as well as negative developments. Our investor Capvis supports our initiative to systematize sustainability management and link it to our corporate strategy. In the future, we'll enhance transparency in our sustainability activities. Starting in 2023, we'll expand our current ESG reporting and adopt a global standard for comprehensive reporting by 2025.
